How far along: 32 weeks
Total weight gain: Yesterday, the scale said 19.5 lbs. This morning, it said 22.5. You decide. :)
Baby is the size of: A squash! He's about 15.5-17" and 3-4 lbs.
What's going on with the babe: Gabe is really taking up a lot of space nowadays! Just plumping up, really. :)
What's going on with the mama: I'm at that "I can be done now" stage. I really get fatigued during the day, maternity clothing (for the most part) is not "cute and fun" any more...and I am out of breath so easily.
Baby is a: Boy!
Maternity clothing: Yeah, mostly. Some non-maternity tops, but very few.
Sleep: Every night is different. Most nights, I don't have trouble falling asleep, but instead, have had early mornings. Jarrod gets up to leave for work, and if I hear him, sometimes I can't fall back asleep. I've ditched my body pillow this week, too, thinking it's more annoying when I have to toss and turn than it is helpful. I feel achier without it, but I don't wake up as much, so...I'll take it.
Movement: So many big movements! Painful ones, even, which I never had with Ethan. I'm not sure if it's because Gabe is in a different position or what, but man...big jabs!
Cravings/Aversions: Still crunching on peppermint Lifesavers like it's my job. I mean - BAD. Not getting better. I'm trying to cut back (baha, said like a true addict), because crunching on them all day is making my tongue hurt! And I'm scared to visit the dentist in May. ;) Fresh, raw veggies...had a craving for cupcakes this week, so, I made cupcakes. That's about it.
Symptoms:
- Sciatic nerve pain. It's more frequent again...probably because Gabe is getting bigger, and because we've been doing more packing and cleaning lately.
- Aches. Ohhhh, the aches.
- Fatigue. It's the worst when you have to entertain a toddler all day.
- Low appetite. Not much room left! I seriously hardly eat anything throughout the day. Food looks and smells amazing, but there just isn't a lot of room.
- Heartburn.
- Shortness of breath. This is getting worse as things get more squished in there.

How this pregnancy is different than the first:
- Energy. Energy was "a lot better" with Ethan, at this point. It's the complete opposite!
How the big brother was this week: We had some really, really trying days. Some where I was in near tears. His new favorite thing is to throw his food. We had many bowls chucked across the room with food still in them...splashing of soup or cereal...feeding the dogs. Some days are just awful, and others, he's an angel all day long. Such is life, right?
The best moment(s) of this past week:
- Appraisal is done. Just waiting for results of it. It's our "final step!"
- Packing more. I love seeing an emptied out house.

I'm looking forward to:
- Scentsy Spring Sprint this upcoming weekend! A full (almost) 48 hours away without a hubby or kid. :)
- Moving!
- Scheduling our c-section. Still haven't done it. At my appointment this past week, my doctor said it has to be the week before Easter, but that they'd call to confirm a date.
- Hearing back about the appraisal. In the meantime, getting things fixed up to close, hopefully, on the 20th!
- Getting our tax refund. :)

You look great Laura, but I am with you. I am also just ready to be done. My maternity clothes are no longer cute and comfortable and I too get so tired/winded doing small things. I'm looking forward to being able to unload/load the dishwasher again with ease!
ReplyDeleteStill looking beautiful!!! Sorry you are not feeling as good, but sooo close to his date :)
ReplyDeleteI know you feel like poop but you really look good!
ReplyDeleteLove the comparison shots! You are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I found your blog! We are only a week apart in our pregnancies. I could have written this update. I feel so much different with the baby compared to my first.
